Joachimist Iconography
When in the first '90s the Abbazia Florense was reopened in San Giovanni in Fiore and the studies on Gioacchino da Fiore, "the Calavrese of prophetic spirit equipped", mentioned by Dante in the Divine Commedia, took renewed strength, Spadafora draws inspiration by the "Gioachimita" iconography. A keeping transforming collection was born, having a great success in environments either lay and ecclesiastic. To this end, we cannot forget Spadafora is also known as the goldsmith of the Virgin Mary thanks to the several meetings with Pope Woytila.
