Since the beginning the Spadafora jewel were inspired by the respect for the tradition. It's difficult to fix when the goldsmith art of the Spadafora family was exactly born. We just know that Francesco Spadafora the first, has been lived across the second half of the 18th century.

Since then the tradition has been going on the respecting the techniques, the tools, the shapes influenced, since ever, by the several populations gone across the wonderful land of Calabria. The same tradition, generation by generation, got to Giovambattista Spadafora and his sons.

Together they have done something more in respect to their predecessors. To make their products known and appreciated at international level they did not stop to the tradition. Despite they are always inspired by the ancient goldsmith art, they have been creating models according to taste changes following, necessarily, the march of time.

By the way pay a special attention on a Spadafora jewel. Infact also if it has modern shapes, it originates from very small anvils, stamps in small cuttlefish bones and crucibles, wich nobody dares to replace.

In brief the history of the Spadaforas. A family that over three centuries jealously delivers something of precious that cannot be appreciated from people do not have the same passion for the art.
